FACEPACKS - Create your own
One of the brilliant things about Football Manager is that almost every aspect of the game is customisable. You can use the editor to change nearly every bit of data within the game, design or download customised skins, or insert other graphical updates into your game, to give it the personal touch - one such example of these updates are facepacks. These are quite simply, a file, that you drop into your game which allows you to view photos of the players within the game.
It sounds like a tricky thing to do, but there is a brilliant article by Gillsman on www.sortitoutsi.net that explains everything you need to know about making these packs for yourself.

It's an easy seven-step guide, and with this by your side you should be able to start customising your copy of FM straight away. And, not only that, but once you've mastered the art, why not enter their weekly facepack competition and pit your wits against other budding ermm… facepackers!

DATA UPDATES - Tonight we're going to manage like it's 1989
Ever wandered what it would be like to go back in time? Well, thanks to eyoung at FileFront, you can download a data update that takes you back to the 1989/90 season, in the pre-Premier League years - so why not have a stab a management in an era when Elton Welsby presented the Big Match, Elton John was chairman of Watford, and Theo Walcott was born.

What is defined as cheating on Football Manager? Well restarting a game without saving after that particularly important defeat is likely to fall into the "dirty rotten cheater" category for most.
