SEGA Europe can reveal that according to the UK Chart-Track panel of retailers Football Manager 2007, recently released for PC, Mac and Intel Mac, has bagged a hat trick on its debut weekend.
The first goal for FM 2007 was a swift one-two and a gentle tap in from six yards to take the number one spot in the UK PC chart. A second followed shortly after in the form of a diving header to leap-frog to the top of the UK all-formats chart. And a wonderful hat-trick was completed in the form of a Rooney-esqe volley fired in from 25-yards out as FM became the UK's third fastest selling PC game ever.
By selling 91,111 units (according to the Chart-Track panel of retails), Sports Interactive can lay claim to being the developer of the UK's top three fastest selling PC games of all time (two of which being FM 2006 and FM 2007), thus cementing its position as probably the leading sports management developer in the world.
Critical acclaim from press has flowed in with FM 2007 achieving the highest ever review scores for the FM series so far. The latest and greatest addition includes over 100 new features designed to help both players new to the Football Manager series and to give experienced fans a new depth of management to play with.
