How To Save A Match On Football Manager 2007

Anybody that has ever played Football Manager will recognise the scenario - You're sat at home all alone slowing making progress through another season with your struggling, injury ravaged squad. The results just aren't going your way and, no matter what you try, nothing seems to be able stop the rot; worse still, you're now 3-0 down to Chelsea.

Then, as if by magic, something a bit special happens. John Terry somehow manages to get a tackle on your sluggish forward all wrong hacking him down. LAST MAN REF! You scream at the monitor, hopeful of influencing the little dot in black's decision, he duly obliges and shows Terry a red card. Mourinho is disgusted, but you are delighted. From the resulting free kick your South American winger, who's been hitting row Z with his efforts all season, curls it delicately into the top corner beyond Petr Cech.

Ten minutes later, and after a fabulous strike from your forward whose previous form had been that of a Blackpool donkey, the score is 3-2 with only stoppage time remaining. Out of nowhere you win a corner, this is your final opportunity to complete a miraculous comeback. However the corner is dire, it clears everybody in the box and looks to be heading out or throw-in when, out of nowhere, your 18 year-old goalkeeper appears and rifles a shot high into the roof of the Chelsea goal, 3-3, unbelievable.

As the referee checks his watch for the final time, your confident midfield maestro has the audacity to try a Beckham-esque shot from the halfway line, you guessed it  - 4-3. The whistle goes and you go berserk, the neighbours contemplate reporting a case of suspected to the police homicide having listened to the sounds coming from your bedroom; and finally it's over. The greatest moment you've ever had on FM and no one was here to witness it.

Well there is a way to show the world, and here's how…

Saving your match for other people to view is simple, as is viewing other people's using their .pkm files.

Saving Your Match -
1. Step one is very simple, once you've either played or watched a match that you'd like to save, simply click on the SAVE option (pictured). Once you have done this save the game under whatever filename you like followed by .pkm now you have your match saved.

2. Having done this all you need to do now is attach the file to e-mail or upload it to the web for others to download (the file is only small, normally around 40kb). You'll find the file in the following place: my documents/sports interactive/matches.

Viewing Other People's Match -
1. If saving your match was easy, then viewing other people's games is even easier. Once you have a copy of the match file simply save it in my documents/sports interactive/matches, the same location in which you will find your own saved matches.

2. Once this is done, load up your copy of FM2007 and, on the opening screen, click the 'view match' button. You should now be able to see the game file simply click this to view the game.

So now the wonder-goal you just need to share with your mates, or the Football Manager community, is simple to do.
